Tammy is a graduate of Boston College, School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice since 2004. Tammy has co-founded two wellness collaboratives in Rhode Island, and she is currently a managing partner at The Center For Counseling and Wellness, LLC. in East Greenwich, RI.
Prior to private practice, Ms. Garceau gained experience as a public school social worker, as the Clinical Supervisor for a day treatment program for emotionally and behaviorally challenged populations, and as a Mental Health Manager for an Early Head Start and Head Start program. Tammy is an active member of The National Association of Social Workers, and was a presenter at an NASW Convention. She served on The Board of Directors for The RI Association for Infant Mental Health, and presented at The New England Head Start Annual Conference. As a member of For Our Children Under Six Task Force, she was awarded The Carol Prendergast Award. Tammy is a Level I and II Certified EMDR Therapist, and is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. In an effort to better meet the needs of the children and families she works with with, Tammy and several colleagues recently developed a School Partnership Program Resource Guide and intervention initiative. The goal of this program is to provide counseling and support services to school aged students and school personnel.
Tammy utilizes a strength-based, cognitive-behavioral approach to her practice. She believes in developing positive, trusting, and productive counseling relationships with her clients, as they strive to reach their personal goals and overall wellness.

Christi Saurette, LICSW, ACSW
Christi received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Academy of School Social Workers (ACSW). She has over 18 years of experience in the public school setting as a Student Assistance Counselor and a Certified
School Social Worker. Christi is skilled in working with children, adolescents, and adults with multiple social and emotional needs. She designed and facilitated a Yoga and Twelve Step Recovery group for adult males recently released from prison. She is also a member of The South Kingstown Partnership for Prevention (SKPP), and she is a certified yoga instructor, specializing in a Kripalu-style Hatha yoga and meditation. Christi works from a “strength-based” therapy approach, meeting her clients at whatever stage of change they are functioning at, and working together to help each individual realize his/her full potential for healing and change.
